- 09/27 Fri. Still the same. Actually watered bamboo today. Even though it’s seeded and dying parts look they may last into the winter. Some leaves showed signs of wilting so decided what the heck.
- 09/12 Thu. Everything’s doing poorly. There doesn’t seem to be enough moisture in the soil. Plus, it’s been very warm, hot sometimes, every day very warm. All plants and trees seem affected.
- 0608 Sat. Tomatoes doing well. Peppers not so great. Lot of cool, cloudy weather.
- 05/29 Wed. Trimmed all tomatoes below their lowest/first flowers. Will trim more as they grow
- 05/19 sun. Put black plastic netting around the 6 plants I have planted. Having trouble with something (raccoon , skunk, squirrel, opossum….) eating leaves and stems. Might be a rat. Hope this works. Set them up like they’re just temporary barriers. Can open them fairly easily for watering etc. if it works then next year need a new and simplistic design.
- 05/17 Sat. Planted late start B40 in backyard buried 15 gal. They’re very small but other tomatoes back there are growing nicely.
- 04/09 Tue. Planted store bought tomatoes on driveway. Early Girl. Roma. Dug two b40 cherry. Thing the strain has run out.
- 2024 starts.
- 09/02/23. Note for getting started in 2024. Use big plastic pots in backyard. Make soil in several soon. Try to get them in ground with cow manure in both ground and pots.
